Flower Watercolor Card Set

I  made the first card for the Moxie Fab Wonder of Watercolor Challenge. I had so much fun with this
stamp and Tim's Distress markers that I decided to make a card set for my sister.

I'm also entering this card set into the Simon Says Vintage Challenge: Background.

  Materials:

Everything Flowers stamp from Hero Arts
Pink Lemonade Lawn Trimmings from Lawn Fawn
Sunshine Cards from Hero Arts
White watercolor paper from Hero Arts
French General Embellishments from eksuccess
Manganese Blue Archival Ink from Ranger
Magenta Hue Archival Ink from Ranger
Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Mustard Seed,
Spiced Marmalade and Antique Linen Distress
Markers from Tim Holtz
Metallic Gold Paint Dabber from Ranger

Directions

Stamp the watercolor panels with the
Everything Flower Stamp using the
Magenta Hue and Manganese Blue
Archival Inks.

Color in the open flowers the distress
markers.

Color  in the open space between flowers
with the Antique Linen Distress marker.

Edge the watercolor panel with the
gold paint dabber.

Tie the Pink Lemonade trim around
the panel.

Attach the panel to the card.

Attach the gold French General
envelopes to the card.

Hope you like the cards. I created all
six cards in about 30 minutes.

Happy Mother's Day

Simon Says.....April Showers-and-or-Spring Flowers

This is the card I made for Simon's Challenge this week.

Material:

Hero Arts/Basic Grey Kissing Booth 6 X 6 paper pad
Nenah Solar White card stock
Hero Blush Note Card
Prima Say it in Pearls
Prima Flowers
Hero Arts Large lotus Pattern Cling Stamp
Hero Arts Mother's Day Scripted Stamp
Versamark Ink
Ranger Clear Embossing Powder
Ranger Magenta Hue Archival Ink
Evergreen Bough Distress Ink
Scattered Straw Distress Ink
Spellbinders 3 Grommet Tags
String from my stash

Directions:

1)  I stamped the Kissing Booth paper using the Large Lotus Stamp
     with Versamark Ink.

2)  I heat embossed the stamped paper with the Ranger
Clear embossing powder sealing the paper pattern underneath the flower.

3)  I applied the Evergreen Bough Distress ink over the entire
      paper with a foam applicator.

4)  I went over the flower with a baby wipe to remove any distress ink.

5)  I cut out a tag with the Spellbinders die.

6)  Stamped "Happy Mothers Day" onto the tag with the Magenta Ink.

7)  Distressed the edges of the tag with Scattered Straw ink.

7)  Attached the Tag with string to the Kissing Booth paper.

8)  Layered some prima flowers together and put a pearl on top.

9)  Attached the Kissing Booth Panel with tag onto the Hero Arts
     Note Card.

10) Attached all the embellishments to the card as shown.

I learned the embossed resist technique from Kristina Werner's
and Jennifer McGuire's Pattern Play class. Great class, I highly
recommend it. Unlike some on line classes you get access to
the class materials forever.

Happy Birthday

I made this card for the Simon Says Happy Birthday Challenge. It is is the 4th Anniversary for their challenge blog.

I used all products from the March Simon Says Stamp Kit for this card except the "Happy Birthday" stamp from Stampabilities and the Pearls from Hero Arts. The papers included with the kit are just beautiful. The included stamp set can be used for almost any occasion you can think of.

I used Hero Arts Green Hill mid-tone Shadow ink, Hero Arts Soft Cantaloupe Shadow Ink and Ranger Chrome yellow Archival Ink for the stamping.
