I created this card for the Art Impressions - Anything Goes Week Two Challenge.
The stamp is Art Impressions "Beauty in Progress Set". I colored the girls with copics.
The girls have three layers to make them look dimensional, I don't know if you can tell from
the photo. I put glossy accents on the shoes. I embossed and framed the sentiment.
Hope you enjoy the card.

Gellatos, Stamp Your Story and Kraft
I wanted to play with my new purchases; Tropical Gelatos and Hero Arts Stamp Your Story, My Favorite set. I was trying to come up with a way to use them both together and I decided to make
a card for the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge: Kraft
I used a Hero Arts tall Kraft card. I scribbled the four gelatos in the set onto the card and went over
them with my Tim Holtz water brush. Then I stamped the feather and butterfly images onto the card with Black Archival ink. I wasn't happy with just the black so I scribbled colors into the feathers and
butterflies with the gelatos and went over them with my water brush. I pulled different words from
the set and stamped them onto the card using the Black Archival ink again. When I was done
the card still didn't look finished so I added some Teresa Collins enamel dots. I was suprised
at how fast the card went together. I concentrated more on playing with the products than designing the card.
Hope you enjoy the card. All your comments are sincerely appreciated.

Brynn's Canvas
I made this canvas for my three year old niece Brynn. It's made of all the colors that she
loves: lime green, pink, purple, and sea blue. It's happy like she is most of time. And
she makes me happy all the time - there's nothing like unconditional love. I'm entering this
canvas into the Simon Says Stamp and Show Inspiration Challenge
The inspiration for Brynn's canvas came from a class taught by Shari Caroll that I attended.
Her class was based on the techniques she used to make a canvas for her Mother. You can
see Shari's canvas here: mom tribute canvas is complete . During that class I made a canvas
for my sister Cathy who has since passed away. The colors on her canvas are a more subdued
version of Brynn's canvas.
Cathy's canvas |
I would have taken nicer pictures had I known I'd be posting her canvas here.
You can read the words on Brynn's canvas but not Cathy's. On the various
chipboard pieces of Cathy's the sentence: "Sisters teach how to love without limits." is
formed.
The canvases are made of :
10 X 10 Canvas
Tissue
Book Pages
Bo Bunny Country Garden 6 X 6 paper pad
My Minds Eye Happy Go Lucky 6 X 6 paper pad
Authentique Petite Type Squares
Thickers
Mod Podge
Gesso
Various Acrylic Paints
Ribbon
Prima Flowers
Prima Leaves
Maya Zipper Trim
Maya Road Chip Board Pieces
Petaloo Chip Board Pieces
Hero Arts Pearls
Doodlebug Enamel Accents
Prima Say It In Crystals
Packaging from Prima products
Stickers from K&Company
Cut up cereal boxes
